Z4M Coupe '08

Sounds like it. It's a consumable part I'm afraid. Mine made a grinding sound when it failed and the window jammed. I think you can fix it yourself but it's a bit fiddly and will necessitate buying a new regulator.
Fortunately mine was at a BMW dealer at the time it died. I pointed out the grubby hand print the mechanic had left when he had lent on the top of the window whilst climbing out of the car and they fixed it for free (even though the part was visibly corroded). I now use an indy and have had no more mechanic-related injuries to my car!

You are one lucky man. Looks like this is going to cost me 390 euro to get fixed  :headbang:

I fitted my RPi scoop blind through the left hand kidney...I won't deny that it was an annoying fiddle though

Thieving scumbagsb  :headbang:

Hope you can get your locks sorted quickly

:headbang:

Hope its just the lock that is damaged an nothing else.

I would say just replace the locks with blanks.. but i have had to use my key a few times when my key randomly stops working.

Humm..sounds like a plan really. But what if the key fails?

Then you're knackered, as the boot doesn't even have a keyhole on the coupe.

I thought it had one on the bottom edge of the badge, visible when you pull the badge as if trying to open it. Not sure where I got this idea though.

Hmm, perhaps it does... I never noticed that when I had one, but then I never had cause to use it.

AFAIK it is impossible to start the engine without the properly coded transponder key. This is evidenced by no one evidently has been successful in matching ebay keys to the car. If you really want to steal a Zed, you would be best off stealing a tow truck first.

So who ever tried breaking in was either just after the contents or completely stupid. Good thing they didn't get so far as to try the same treatment on the ignition lock.

That's a comforting thing to hear!

Sounds like your GM5 module needs the relays replacing.
