I tried searching but got somewhat confused - anyone know if this would bolt up to a 3.0si happily or does it require other bits changing? Possibly the prop shaft length needs altering and the brakes would differ?

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me will be along to answer your questions.

Propshafts are different lengths by the looks of it, so I doubt it'd be a direct bolt on from what's on sale above, sadly.

3.0si: 1181mm or 1223mm (auto/manual) https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=DU52-EUR---E86-BMW-Z4%203.0si&diagId=26_0229

Z4M: 1170mm https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=DU92-EUR-08-2007-E86-BMW-Z4_M32&diagId=26_0230

I can confirm it's not straightforward, primarily due to driveshaft length differences (as mentioned above) and the need for custom propshaft due to flange and length differences...not impossible but could be costly.

Figured it wouldn't be simple or folks would've done it before and talked about it. Thanks both
