z4m carbon leather trim. Complete 3 piece set

Bought this ages ago on a whim when opportunity arose. Since decided not to fit them as I prefer the piano black I already have in the car. Was going to keep them anyway in case I got another z in the future, but decided that's a bit greedy so putting them up for what I think is a fair price.

All three sections, complete set, in excellent condition bar a couple of small scuff marks on the thin section between ashtray and gear shifter. The first picture tries to show this, damage is pretty minor really.

430 quid collected from North London or 450 posted.

hmmm..no disrespect but didnt you buy these for like 150 quid...thats quite a mark up

I thought he didn't want to be greedy??

On that basis, does anyone want to buy my spare DSP amp, for £600?? :fuelfire:

Joking aside, for that sort of money, I'd expect perfection.

Mike

If I am reading this correct ,you price them at £430 on the forum but will take £350 on eBay .You are taking the p1ss

You aren't reading it correctly. Read again. I said I would take 350 to end the auction. I.e if offered that by a forum member I will end the auction.

Well it was a little unclear. What about the alleged £200 mark up?

Its that grey area discussed at large many times on here :( a bitter pill to swallow if you want the set knowing the OP paid much less but he was on his toes initially to buy them at a great price when opportunity knocked
Different case if they were bought off a forum member but as best i can remember they were off a breaker via Ebay so i'm struggling to see any reason why he shouldn't sell them at a fair market price :? & that will be whatever someone feels happy to pay

I dont have a problem with the guy (or anyone) making a few quid on their parts but this just seems a bit extortionate, I'd have been genuinely interested at a fairer price but knowing what he paid for them its too bitter a pill for me to swallow, Im sure he'll get what he wants for them on the bay

Certainly don't, but it's quite a difference and certainly not gentlemanly if originally purchased on here.

Wasn't purchased here. Was bought on eBay.

Now here's something that may question opinion. If I HAD fitted the carbon leather, and then chose to sell my piano black interior at around 350 to 400 for the set... would there be as much outrage? It is after all what the item is worth?

I got a silly price purely out of luck from no one of this forum and have put the item up for what I think is market value and now dropped the initial price as well to reflect the minor scuffs. I'm NOT a trader and have nothing to do with the motor industry.

The ONLY reason there is this reaction is I mentioned that I bought them elsewhere for a given price previously off my own back. Had that not been the case, there wouldn't be this reaction.

Bitter? Fine. Don't buy them. No one is forcing anyone. For those who are on the look out, when is the last time anyone saw a full set of these come up for sale?

I sold a set in 2012, other than that there may have been one other.

Rare as rocking horse shite, so stick to you guns.

Gotta agree  rarely ever comes up & is a premium piece of trim that looks & feels far superior to the alu & wears far better than the piano

Now that they're sold, I cannot understand why anyone would buy knackered old trim parts...you could have a trimmer do your existing parts perfectly for you (in any style you like) for less than the asking price.
