Z4M Car Market - Are people helping to devalue the car?

My boss recently sold his Merc 600 SEL V12.
It was four years old with 12k on the clock and all the toys imaginable including triple glazed glass.
It was bought for £137,000 and sold for...

...£12,000. :o

Our transport department had been trying to move it over the summer and finally it went to a dealer.
Now, that's depreciation.

Wow! You can say that again :o

Anything big and lumpy is a disaster area right now, and that Merc proves it.One of my customers buys new cars, gets bored with them after a few months and then sells ( usually at a massive loss). I wonder why he doesn't buy used and then he could buy and sell frequently with much less depreciation. He won't buy used, his ego won't allow it. What does he do for a living, he's the MD of a car dealership...............  :headbang: :?

It's weird but we saw 2 Ms sold last week and then srhutch bought one yesterday.

I am however wondering if I have done the right thing

I'm sure it will all be fine once I have it. If I could have sold mine privately I would have looked at Hark's.

Why are you worried about if you've done the right thing?

I'm sure it will be fine once I have it, and have bought it up to my standard. Should be getting it on Thursday now.

Drove it today. Car sounds awesome and better than any diesel I'm selling it for.

Balls to it, they can wait as long as they like to buy it. lol

If it is a keeper, who cares.

I have had my Golf for 18 years now and it is worth not much less than when I bought it :)
