Z4M Calipers and discs, how much?

I have fitted an AP BBK to my Z4M and I now have the original brake callipers for the front and rear + front discs. The car had only covered 35k miles when the Ap's were fitted and now I am thinking of selling the originals. Any ideas what these items would be worth? Are they also the same items as fitted to an E46?

Thanks

Calipers might be worth something if they're in good condition, but I'd expect the discs to be well through their life if they're they ones the car came with from the factory.

New, they're about £250-£300 per caliper (similar price front & rear, same on the e46 M3 and CSL) - so about £1200 for a complete set with no discount (possibly sub-£1000 with). I doubt you'd get more than about £500 for them.

not many people would consider s/h brakes on an m imo,i think 500 is way over the value, maybe a non m owner looking to upgrade would be interested but sensible money imo is 250 max :driving:

I might want to chance the brakes on the 3.0 si coupe im getting...woild these offer a big upgrade or can someone recommend me a set which doesnt cost the earth

They won't fit the non-///M without changing lots of other bits (hubs, etc).

My advice would be to use the standard brakes as long as you can so that you get a nice braking boost when you change - otherwise in a year's time you'll think the BBK is 'normal'.

It's what I did with the engine mods on my Corrado...instead of getting them done incrementally for 5-10bhp, and having to pay labour/remap costs every time, I'd just save up and get them all done at the same time (cams, pistons, rods, crank, big valve head & valves, intake, throttle bodies, etc.) for a 50bhp/70lbft hit (on a 190bhp/180lbft standard car). Felt like I'd fitted a supercharger, and was faster on track than most of the supercharged VR6s with a claimed 30-50bhp more.

However, if you want a BBK immediately, and don't want to spend thousands on AP/Alcon/etc. then you could try somewhere like K-Sport (no affiliation, and they're probably just a own-brand version of some no-name kit that you could get on ebay) where you can get a set of front 8-pots & 330mm discs for about £900 - which is about what new ///M discs & calipers would cost from BMW.
