Z4M (C) Supercharged.............?

ye tried it in M mode, it did not feel to pick up like the zed, it felt sluggish, i may just not have given it a proper chance

just my first impression was not as good as i was hoping

also, i noted it did not feel as smooth through the gear changes

Beedub, I`d be very suprised if your quicker than the M5 especially if you continue to 140+, not knocking you/the car in any way and look forward to seeing the results. My M3 `vert was running 600 HP with an ESS supercharger and wasn`t massively quicker than my friends E60 (maybe 3-4 car lengths from 80-150).

M5 is pretty quick considering its size/weight. I saw one record sub 5s 0-60 at Bruntters with 5 people on board.

mike it will be intresting to see ;-) dont worry all opinions are much aprreciated... i have no idea so im looking forward to finding out.

mike my 450hp z4 will most likely struggle but i dont think ill be mullered.......

i can see this 550hp m3 isnt masively pulling away from the m5, bear in mind the m5 has a passenger also http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVJbBNv3EIU

it'll be intresting to see how this goes.

You wont get mullered but it`ll depend on the driver of the M5 and how fast you go to, when I was at 450HP I could almost keep up to around 100ish if we started at 50/60 but by the time I got to the top of 4th gear (140ish) the M5 was bus lengths ahead and over 170.

Thanks to all for your assistance........... :)
Especially beedub for the very long thread.

As the miles fly by, I grow to love the Z more each drive! Mods are looking very likely.
My first service under my ownership is looming the removal of the CDV should make a huge difference, as I have to drive with the traction control off at all times to make any reasonable (boyracer type progress)!

I am sure the forum will continue to be a wealth of experience and knowledge for the future. Keep up the great work :) :D

taz x mullered = another saying for completely destroyed. lol

would my 3.0ltr automatic be mullered if i fit a supercharger, I could start saving ready for when its out of warranty

no the autoboxes can handle s/c easily, ess actually have an auto ts2 car, its sounds nuts!!

Just to throw a spanner in the works, have you considered a Rotrex? i had one on my last car and its a very potent little package compared to the paxton/vortech type
i took the Z4M to TTS at silverstone (who fitted my last one) and they are very keen to do a conversion to the car
its more bespoke than an off the shelf package so you can choose the power level and torque characteristics (within engine capabillities)
