Z4M bumper excellent condition sapphire black with bits SOLD

Up for grabs an M bumper in great condition! Colour sapphire black. Comes with grill and toe eye cover (would set u back £70 & £20 from MD).

Bumper has had a repair in the past. This was done by a friend who owns a bodyshop and you’d never be able to tell but more importantly it’s repaired properly so won’t crack or split again unless you properly hit something!

Grill was plastic welded on because a few clips were broken/loose. Didn’t bother me when buying because it’s more secure welded but I want to be clear and transparent because I appreciate it may bother some people.

Asking for £450, which I think is fair considering they go on eBay and other sites for around £400 with damage and without the grill and toe eye cover. Obviously if your Z is sapphire black you’ll be loving this even more! Been given a good polish as well so is literally ready to fit straight on!

Sorry dude don’t mean this to sound rude, but I changed mine to a M bumper recently and it was no where near that much.

I had to buy:

air ducts £21.39 + vat each
Air duct brackets £14.79 + vat each
Grill £55.31 + vat
Toe eye cover 19.71+ vat

Kidney grills took off the old bumper (don’t know why you would buy new ones unless you wanted a different colour ie gloss black). Washer jet covers again took off the old bumper. I suppose I’m lucky I have xenons but if I didn’t I would just buy the covers (£20 inc vat), paint them myself with cans from Halfords (£18 for primer, paint and lacquer) then glue them down.
Why go through the hassle of installing the jets and pipe lines if you don’t have xenons? If it wasn’t compulsory on xenons I wouldn’t have them! All they do is make my bonnet dirty after I’ve just cleaned it

It cost me ball park £160 for parts (on top of the bumper obviously), and that’s from my local main dealer. Then it was a straight forward swap with my old facelift bumper & it makes such a big difference to the cars looks!

This is why I’m a little surprised no ones jumped on this yet because all they’ll need is air ducts & duct brackets (£72.36 + vat) & potentially washer jet covers (£40 inc vat + paint £18). The grill and toe eye cover save someone £95, so I’m only asking £355 for the bumper technically (which has also just had a respray)!!! £85 - £140 in additional parts tops!

Hopefully this puts someone’s mind at ease if they were thinking the additional parts were as much as dannytheduck1985 thought.

I’m guessing there’s been a lot of price drops in parts on our Z’s from BMW because I was also reading another post where the M bonnet price had dropped by about £1200!

I replaced from the A post forward on an M 2 years ago and still have the receipts. Granted the bonnets are now £1000 inc vat in primer (price gained 1 week ago from Bmw Birmingham to settle an arguement). I can only conclude that Bmw are now offloading the remaining stock of M parts. When they discontinue parts, the second hand market will double in price

I would if the price was better, I would have to re paint so ill be looking at the same price if not more than what I would be getting from the dealer brand new now if you dropped the price I would defiantly be interested say 250-350 as you will have to buy all the other parts as other members have listed.

Other parts are minimal cost, I honestly don’t kno why people insist on installing washers and jets if you don’t have xenons!?! dealer brand new, last time I checked was ballpark £600 primered!
If you’re looking to do this conversion this is your one big outlay! Every single one I’ve seen in the last 6 months under £500 has been battered & it’s sold. Look on all the UK websites (gumtree, eBay, forums etc) and this was the only one available!
