Leeds - you know where it is
Hi folks. Few items for sale now the dust has settled after the sale of my Z4MC. This is the first ad, there will be a few more.

BCS Powervalve exhaust back boxes. Bespoke back boxes developed by BCS for the Z4M, originally through Mr Wilks. 2 back boxes, will fit Z4M only. This is just the back boxes; no bushings or connector clamps or anything else (they need the Peugeot style clamps to mount on the Z4M but these are cheap items and readily available). Removed from my M Coupe last year, been sat in bubble wrap in the garage since. These will polish up very nicely with a bit of elbow grease. Collection only from Leeds or close by. Bought for £780 from BCS in 2018, covered around 10k miles, looking for £500.

Happy to speak to genuinely interested potential buyers. DM me and we can talk on the phone.

Stevo

I've added a little clip I found on my phone, now on Youtube. Gives you an idea of the sound - although I know it's really difficult to replicate the real life sounds. Just a little pull in 2nd gear, maybe up to around 3k revs; hopefully gives you an idea of how it might sound if you give it the beans.
I've followed a couple of folks with RPIs and found them to be pretty anti-socially loud! I know it's personal taste but these are not as loud and produce a meaty sound, significantly more than, say, gutting the standard back boxes.

I opted for the BCS back boxes on my Z4M after hours of listening to sound clips & hearing a few exhausts in person.

The Remus brand were simply too quiet for me. The Stromung boxes, though a favourite for sub £1000 along with being well made & providing a significant weight saving, they in my opinion lowered the tone of the S54 engine so much the rasp & character was lost. They also had drone at motorway/dual carriageway speeds.

The BCS boxes are very well made & the tips fit the bumper recess well. They are loud on cold starts but settle down…..slightly :D and do keep the addictive rasp above 4,000rpm.

Every system I heard has the generic drone at 1,800-2000rpm but you work the gearing to resolve this. The best thing about the BCS are no drone at cruising speeds & an abundance of pops & crackles on overrun or when letting off the accelerator.

For 2nd hand money these can’t be beaten unless you are extremely lucky to find something like a KKS, Arqray or even Supersprint/Eisenmann up for grabs.

Good luck with the sale Stevo.

Cheers Brett, that’s a better review than I wrote myself!!

Hi Stevo,

just thinking a few pics of the exhausts fitted to your car to show how they sit in the cut-outs might help the sale :) I'd love them but sadly can't justify spending money on a set of exhausts for mine currently! :(

Had these boxes on 2 of the 3 ZMRs i owned , as already pointed out they are supremely well made , a great fit in the apertures & give a great tone without being too raucous .
couple of YT clips might help anyone undecided , pricewise they are well worth the ask at £500

Thanks Mr Wilks, you know your stuff on these.

I’ll post a couple of them on the car. I always thought I had loads of pics like that but actually don’t have many!

Probably be on FB within a week and priced to sell.

Eventuri ad coming shortly also.

Adding a couple of photos for how they sit on the car. They are a bespoke design so we’re made to look like a seamless replacement, hopefully these pics reflect that.

Price also down to £400 now.

Damn those look great on the car. If only I could justify the cost at the moment :(
