I rang in November. The salesman Chris was super unhelpful took a fair amount of persuasion to give me more info, I think a few people have inquired and realised its past was a little interesting. He was very hesitant to release the service history.

Service history starts out well with it being a NE car Sunderland area I think maybe the first 2 services were BMW. It was then sent to Northern Ireland and the history is all over the place then brought back to the UK. The mileage from memory was at 79 not 75 and had been serviced last at 73k in October 2016. He sent me images of the service book and was mostly small garages and services in the wrong order and 2-3 inspection 1s one after the other. If I can find the images I will post them.

Still a good looking car and good spec, its was just too far for me to travel to check out and the initial alarm bells were ringing, Chris wasnt willing to budge on price and was generally unhelpful making me thin he was hiding something which was enough for me to stop pursuing.

In a case like this its a bit of a gamble but if the cars condition was good then it would have made a nice car, just needed a bit of work to get it to a decent standard. The guy did admit the car needed some work and that it needed a new set of tyres and discs/pads and im certain the car had never had a In II. He wasnt interested in sorting any of the above.

That was 3 months ago and nobody has bitten so im assuming there is probably more to the story.

Thanks tomscot, that would make sense , it looked good in pics and miles were ok but Service history needs to be present and very clear, don’t like Service notes in wrong order.

I'm going to wait around for someone from Northern Ireland to take offence and point out that it's part of the UK! :D

What's going to happen when I decide to sell mine (if I will ever do that)????
It was originally purchased in the UK, then brought to Northern Ireland and now it is in the Republic of Ireland where I live. :o :!:

(we do have BMW garages and good independent specialists, by the way :P )
