Not too sure what to think of this... I wouldn't drive it, but still think it looks really good as artwork. :)

Not sure I like it more than it being an interesting piece of art, but I've seen it before and it gets driven properly... IIRC (and looking at the pics) it is supercharged too.
 
Its not an BMW art car if that makes sense.

There is a blog of a guy on bimmerforums or bimmerpost with this, extremely detailed, started as OEM then started tracking it then decided to do something different with the paint.

Really good read I just can find it. Its been mentioned on here before.
 
Must have taken hours of work.
They should do this as camouflage on new cars as the car is lost under all that paint.

It's ok as a piece of artwork tho.
 
As tom says i think the mechanicals are far better then its showy exterior.
