Hi, so going to change my wheels later this month, so was wondering what my current 224's would be worth...any ideas?

Standard silver, completely unmarked, tyres with 5mm left on them.

People pay around £500 for a set with pretty shot tyres so i think they are yea.
Those tyres alone are around £700 fitted when new and 5mm of tread is still a fair amount.
Somethings worth what someone is willing to pay but if i was in the market for some 224's with Mich PSS tyres then i would be interested at £800 :)
The wheels would have to bit mint and un marked at that price though :D

Are these really worth that much, do they actually sell at that?

I sold my 224's on here for £450 (totally mint, ask Bing) and £300 for the tyres 6mm all round CS3's (sold in under 30 minutes)

Knocked £50 of the wheels as it was Bing who bought them, and could easily have got more for the tyres.

:withstupid:

In mint condition these are worth a good wedge... Still wish I'd been able to keep the ones I bought off srhutch. I reckon £700-750 is a decent asking price as MPSS are pretty much up there with the best rubber you can buy.

Fair play i thought they would be worth £400-£500 at best. Perhaps those new wheels are closer than i think once i offset the cost 8)

Worth more split as srhutch shows  otherwise £450/£600 in decent condition with decent rubber
A similar condition set sold on here very recently around £450 with tyres & for those who can be arsed to search there is still a very good set with Contis at similar money just sitting in the FS section waiting

Opinion was that they were underpriced by a long way though Andy. Problem is once you've spilt and shipped I guess with costs you're back down at £650 anyway no ?

Its the old " something worth what someone willing to pay" scenario but in 2/half years i can't remember a set in good order with tyres going for north of £650  to get that figure splitting them would be the way imo
The recent set at £450 looked underpriced but there is very similar set still for sale at the same money :? been there 3/4 weeks ?
We have seen sets on ebay at £600 but take the fees+paypal costs & you're at £550 ?

Surely the money is in the tyres as well though MPSS are one of the best tyres on the market and loads better than conti m3's that most come with for £500 ish surely that makes them more valuable/desirable?
