Z4M 10 Speaker Upgrade or Replacing speakers

Hi All,

Having recently acquired a Z4M I a very satisfied with the exhaust note. Being an Audio junkie I set the fader to rear speakers last night and found the sound to be very dissapointing. All speakers working together sounds fine, but considering the rear speakers are Sub and midranges they sounded quite thin and tinny! any ideas why?

Is it easy to replace the speaker drive units? is it worth the hassle?
 
Sounds like the subs are non-functional. If they are both not working it's more likely the amp is defective than both drivers are bad at the same time. Though it is possible one went out long before the other, no way to know for sure without direct observation over time. Until you can determine for sure what the problem is, it's hard to know what to do.

I haven't had a chance to play with the system fully, but I don't actually remember seeing a DSP menu....
So it maybe a mid level dsp. Thanks for the link - shall check to see if I have DSP! :?
 
Hi, just had all my speakers removed and a hertz amp installed. New Alpine head unit and custom three way component speakers plus three way elipticals behind the seats. So much better than the stock units. :D
