Z4forum "meet" - weekend of 02/03/04 July

Good editing on the video, Matt. There are some good moments on the footage :driving:

Matt's Sterling Grey looks very nice in the wing mirror and behind the car footage :)

Photo of Paddy's on the left turn looks good 8)

Here's the first few of mine. I've millions to sift through, but I managed to squeeze these in whilst at work today ;):
i'm not 100% happy with them yet, as I need to run them through Photoshop properly.. but.. meh :)

Loving those!

(White balance looks skewey though, all a bit blue tinged? or is that just me?)

You'll have to re-do them all!!! :) :poke:

I've put a few average quality pics up on my Facebook page for those who are on my list. Taz x has already started with the sarcastic comments! Will link a few onto this page when I get a change to sort through them.

that'd be the stupid UV filter i was using.. for some reason it appears to have a slight blue tint to it.
It's gone back, and I will indeed be fixing it with PS over the coming days ;)

Here's another one I found:

liking it CJ... but who's that slow-mo WAAAY back off in the distance?
I didn't think PawnSacrifice was driving that slowly ;)

nice, Phil... note the stupid grin on my face, it seems to say "that was bloody good fun, I want to do it again" :D

ZOMG AEBOUS POST

Hehe, sorry for not posting sooner....decided to hit up London rather than home after the trip sunday and say hi to the lady friend.

I had a blast meeting everyone and camping out despite my cold that the medicine did nothing to stop and the whiskey stopped it for a good 10 hours. I'm sorry I didn't talk more (I'm sure ya'll didn't mind) that was due to the cold and a very sore throat. I'm generally way way more talkative (especially when I drink). I had a really interesting time trying to decipher what craig was saying....it was my first time speaking with a Scottsman much less drinking with one :poke: :D . Overall I had a blast, I have a few pics from the Iphone and few from the first day from my nikon d5000, but since I was feeling like crap I didn't really go for the awesome angles/lighting like I normally would. Again I had a blast and I really want to try to make the Wales run I keep hearing about. At least by then I'll have new tires, bushings, and a grill (unless birds/deer kill the new one). I have no problem bringing anyone any Crown Royal Whiskey (or any other American goodies {mountain dew, chewing tobacco/skoal/dip}), just let me know in advance.

Again, I had a blast, really enjoyed meeting people and driving with some Brits that know how to drive. Its such a great change from the ones around the base to include us Yanks that have no idea what roundabouts are and what to do. The scenery was amazing both days - the roads were great despite the slow non z4 drivers. All in all I loved it, can't wait for the next one with no cold to keep me down. I will talk ya'lls ear off. If your really lucky I'll go home on leave for more than a few weeks first and reacquire my cajun accent.

Oh well,at least this should mean i should be ok for the wales run, thats being planned for early sept. :driving:

That's great news!

Cheers,Ian, i am looking forward to it already. especially as i wont be able to drive mine for at least a week or two,and then only small doses at a time, after i have performed a "witnessed emergency stop, for insurance purposes/legal reasons",to prove i am in full control and no pain!!
Getting v bored already, and just want to nip out in the car so much/or take my beagle for a walk! :headbang:

p.s,who is it(other than sammyz),who organises the Wales runs?

  No not really Craig, at least not once I got used to it. I've traveled enough that I've learned how to listen to the annunciation and work it out in my head. That said there were a few words I missed  :poke:

oh no.. you will. The rest of us didn't understand a word all weekend - we got through by just nodding and following the guy in front :P

Hi All, A great weekend, great organisation and great roads, roll on next year or if we are allowed (by the kids) the Wales run. Its a shame we are so far away from great roads and scenery that meant we couldn't stay till the end and as usual the bit we missed was apparently better than the queue on the M6! My best memory was Steffs uncontrollable laughter at bouncing around at speed on one of Sunday's roads.
There is a great picture of my car outside the hotel at night - I didn't know about the police thing but I did ask them to keep an eye on it :D - could I have a high res of it?

See you soon Paul and Steff

haha! Of course you can have a hi-res version :)

I am trying to belt them out as quickly as I can - but I'm constantly reminded I have some wedding photos i've not sorted yet lol
