Z4forum "meet" - weekend of 02/03/04 July

The BBQ was good fun on Saturday night, even though the cooking service costs for my 'posh' burgers and sausages apparently ran into my M Sport seats. :? No wonder I kept the hood up on Sunday!

There was a personal cost to me also - the skin on my knuckles was blistered the next morning and I'm sure it was the heat of the BBQ, certainly don't remember how else I did it!

Burgers tasted good though, so it was worth it :)

No repect to the wusses who dropped out at Hawes in the pouring rain...

Now then, less of the abuse young Bradders (but you don't get called that very often!), or I won't bother pestering you to sign up for the next one!

OK - I should have listened to my passenger and carried on for a bit longer, but we had a good burn home too - and got extra brownie points at home for returning before Tea

See you at Gaydon in August - or are you too much of a wuss :P

p.s. MORE PICTURES PLEASE

The  emoticon was supposed to symbolise that I might well have been one of the wusses too...

Ahh yes you left before I did - should have kept quiet and then you'd have thought I was one of the hard cases who stayed to the end! :headbang: Until next time!

Yes,good vid. i like the bit where mine and Johns cars appear in it. Didnt realise at the time that it was u behind me then/thought it was john(siftah) or sk93 Ian. You kept up a decent pace there too  nice sound effects as well, lol :P

As John (sammyz) mentioned, the weekend's forum meet proved that the z4-forum guys n gals are a fun lot/great company, and decent drivers too. (even more so in the flesh,so to speak)
Glad everyone enjoyed it,and THANKS again for coming along, sorry if i didnt get to chat to everyone as much as i would have liked though.Hope we can improve on numbers for same time next year(now planning on being an annual event/if sammyz keeps helping me organise it

I seem to have managed to dislodge a wire/plug for my bmw ipod kit, which is no longer being recognised by the headunit. damned bmw wiring plugs, haha. thought they would've been up to flying over cattlegrids, etc  (easy fix tho)

Has any-one got any pics or videoclips from the saturday,as most seem to be sunday/and can't find any v/clips from the lakes run, from the honister pass, etc?!

Yeah i only just managed to look at my pics last night, and they aren't that great/as i was going too quick most of the time,so most are of my hair or the tarmac,as i was trying to snap photos of the cars behind me

Oh yeah,i think i will be on here alot in the next few weeks,as the good old nhs has changed dates for my op so often i am getting dizzy keeping track.

I am now getting my knee operation done this friday,as planned,so will be sitting about the house recovering for a while
Am going to miss driving the z soooo much

Hey Craig - hope it goes well mate. Just got mrs CJ back as a biped on Tuesday after 6 weeks in plaster following a foot operation, so know what you're abou tto experience.

Thanks Phil. it will be the boredom that will be the killer, especially the not being able to drive part. :x

meant to say,i have some decent pics of your car from the meet, though didn't get any at night(with your angel eyes and leds). u got any u could pm me/to show the wife what i am talking about(re leds, etc) :D

Pity sixspeed,etc didnt make it.
as siftah/sk93 and myself said, yours is how a roadster should be,and 6spd's is the definition of how to oem mod and improve the coupe. would've been good to have both there. (maybe next meet/time)

cheers

I have a few, but haven't gotten round to editing them yet (probably be Friday). I seem to have very little from the Sunday and not much from my bumper-cam, my soldering of the wires direct to the battery (don't try that at home kids!) wasn't a success and the cable seems to have come off. Bah! :(

Will get some clips up on Fri though :)

Awww man, you were behind me for much of Sunday too! Was looking forward to analysing my driving! :(

Guess I'll just have to make do with more fly-by shots from Ian... :poke:

there really is a good one tweed.. it's a total keeper.. but it needs just a dash of photoshopping to perfect it.
It'll be there tomorrow / friday ;)

Here's the first few of mine. I've millions to sift through, but I managed to squeeze these in whilst at work today ;):

i'm not 100% happy with them yet, as I need to run them through Photoshop properly.. but.. meh :)

fantastic shots Ian

If you manage to get one where your car is reflected in the side of a passing one: competition winner for sure ;)
