Hi All

Just wanted to join in and extend a big thanks to Sammyz and Craig - was fantastic.

I have learnt for next time - do not bring a Sarah who will take over and ruin your chances of a nice bbq and in the process poison you with a ragwort covered burger! Secondly don't listen to her directions.

I am def up for any future meets.

Highlights of the weekend:

I would add the guy in the light blue transit van from saturday afternoon. Could it be the same bloke who did the Goodwood Festival of Speed hill climb in 1 minute ???? :driving:

Lol - SammyZ said that he didn't overtake for fear that the transit would be hassling him to speed up  - he kept up a cracking pace for miles!

We went and sat in the chippy to get out of the rain... I thought that was where everyone would be headed... obvs not! Ah well great fish and chips :)
We'll have to swap mobile's next time - noticed you didn't make the Pub, but didn't know where you'd gone.
p.s. Can you edit out a few grey hairs from that clip - might need to resort to some tyre black for the next meet! an did you catch the bit where me and Bradders overtook a string of 3 ?

And now a few pics

Yeah, he was moving :driving: I hope he wasn't delivering anything fragile! Some great pics and a great video clip redzedfour  You can tell when I caught up to the only car going our way near the end as we slow down to a more sensible speed!

Er do you think Craig's made it home yet? We haven't heard from him? Maybe the missus boxed his ears for being late home :poke:

Cj - I don't believe you have to stop for ANY unmarked car, until you get to a very public location, such as a petrol station, police station, or town center.

The rule says that you only have to stop if your 100% sure they're really the police.. and given the car, I'd have severely doubted him being legit, so would have continued to a petrol station.

I had a google for the rule, but couldn't find it - I'm sure I've read it on a council website someplace :)

The great british summer at lunchtime on Sunday...

Hmm, probably not worth editing my number plate in photos - would much rather save people the hassle and err.. well, grey ones are common as muck anyway ;)

What you can't tell from this photo is that myself and Sk93 were actually in the middle of our synchronised donut act, this particular act is in time to "Swan Lake", or the special version we did just for Tweed - "Duck Pond".

John (Sammyz) somehow managing to get on to the subject of politically correct Trans-gender issues at work, completely oblivious to the fact that the lady sat next to him in the pub wasn't quite a lady yet

This was both hilarious and incredibly uncomfortable at the same time - I don't think John knows yet...

Ah! Does that explain where we lost you?

The BBQ made me chuckle for hours - I never seen chicken "slow cooked" on a BBQ before :)

Hahaha take him on the inside! I like it!! were you two before or after me in the convoy??
Here is the culprit... clearly over the white lines making things very difficult!

Yeah, that was the dude - I've not finished pulling all the footage off my camera yet but I should have a clip of him pulling out on Tweed on there.

I actually didn't bother passing him in the end, we got to a junction and I passed him then. After seeing the way he'd pulled out on Nick I decided against it. Not entirely sure what his problem was but I didn't fancy having to swap insurance details with him, my Germans a bit rusty ;)

well, that's true. I heard rumours of a whole field of them just lying about somewhere in the Lakes. A bit run-down perhaps, but nothing a little massage (and a window regulator) couldn't sort out ;)

nice lot of banter going on :D

you didn't hear? lol

It was Siftah's fault! Troublesome Mancs and all that!!

;)

We were walking back from "Ducksh*t Campsite" at some very early time in the morning (somewhere between 1am and 3am), and we happened to spot the E89 sat alone in the Hotel campsite, nicely lit by the sole streetlamp.
As it was rude not to, we decided to stop and take a quick snap with the phone.
So, Siftah knelt down behind the wall, whilst John and I stood "guard" behind him.

Out of no-where, a police officer rolled passed in his 4x4 and, upon spotting him, I said "Sh*t! It's the Rozzers!" whilst John and I turned our backs to him and flicked up our hoodys.
As you may expect, the copper decided it best to pull a quick u-turn and investigate what three guys in hoodies, with a "swag bag" full of beer were doing eyeing up a tastey motor.

He took a bit of convincing we weren't up to anything sinister, but I think Mr Siftah saved us by cleverly sauntering over to the side of the bacon wagon, with his swagbag swung casually over his shoulder, before leaning on the windowedge and saying "Evenin' Officer."

:)[/quote

More like duck infested, rather than ducks**t,lol
and at least we didn't have to pay extra to use the showers :P

I don't think u would get much off Pauls nice shiney new z to fit ours;you would have been better trying Phils/i do believe he had qt a few nice additions worth "acquiring" :D

So here's an odd one.
.. Got me thinking if an unmarked car with no blues even has the right to expect a motorist to stop??? Could be a nutter with a bit of car rage.

CJ10Jeeper, that is totally strange - I would NOT stop for a car that's unmarked with no blue lights. Even if there were blue lights, I would be cautious and look at ID and still be weary of my personal space. Call me a cynic, but there are some weird people out there.

Last year, I was speaking to a policeman on duty who said that when he's not on duty, he sees minor driving offences being committed, and cannot pull people over. He didn't mention about whether that was out of uniform or in uniform. But anyway, I would be rather concerned to see a guy in a uniform, flashing wildly (chance would be a fine thing), and expecting me to pull over.
