Z4Coupe temp gauge .

more a query before my zed goes into therapy on thursday .
noticed when leaving my garage from stone cold the temp gauge hits middle ( 12 o,clock) within half a mile or 4/5mins ? is this normal ?
seems a little quick ? is the temp gauge the engine temp or as with my 6 series the oil temp ( which took 15mins/10miles to reach norm)
never rises above the middle mark though

i think its normal, mine gets to temperature very quick, especially on a hot day so i dont think you need to worry

Its water temp only and yes it goes very quick.

But this doesn't mean the oil is hot. On a Z4M, which has the oil temp gauge, it needs 15/20 min to get hot.
