Z4Coupe Targa top?

we have a member of another quite popular z4 forum making both CF versions and clear ones over this side of the pond, not sure if posting a link to the thread is kosher.

3.5 days? I have my roof down almost all the time... doesn't have to be too sunny, just "not raining" will do for me.

I take it you don't do roadtrips then, just gridlock your coupe to the UK roads?

Or some say a winters day drive, roof down, heated seats on is good fun - I must agree... :)

x2 - I reckon in the last 3 or 4 months my roof has been down 60-70% of the time I have driven the car. Though not today :(

As for not being able to get the roof in the bot when it's out... How about a nice cloth to you can keep in the boot and pop on when it rains a la that Porsche Boxter Spyder ? Oh, wait a minute...

Linkey available? I've always thought white with a smoked glass roof would look good.

Hmm - I like the idea of a smoked glass roof panel - particularly if it's removable as well!

Here's the link to the CF roof (Google Carbon Fiber Roof Z4 Coupe) http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=557367

Good find, the threads been going for 3 years! will be interesting to see if delivery starts soon.
Not bothered about CF, but the smoked glass panel permanent or removable would be a nice to have.
Will be interesting to see how that turns out and if its really practicable...

Need to find a wrecked Coupe, remove the roof and take it to a glass specialist to see if they can make a glass copy.

In true Top Gear fashion - how difficult can it be?

Famous last words :D

The main problem I can see is that what might work for the climate in the US might not work here because we have the 4 seasons (rain/snow occasional heat), so the weather seals coniguration (removable or permanent) have a lot to cope with temp change wise in the UK.
Also, you'd need to find someone in the uk to fit it and hope to end up with an install doesn't look too DIY :(
