Z4C from SE to SPORT

I'm thinking of retro-fitting the necessary elements to "upgrade" my '07 Z4C SE to Sport spec. Are these essentially lower springs, sports seats and a wider-rimmed multi-function steering wheel? Or am I missing anything else (other than wheels which are 18" 203's anyway ). Lower springs would be the first step and I'd appreciate any advice, thoughts on cost etc. To my eye the SE rides a little too high and would be hugely improved by dropping around 10mm - I guess about the amount the Sport model is lower than the SE... Sports seats in beige will I suspect need to wait for e-bay or a salvage job due to what I imagine will be high cost from BMW... same for wheel.

Cheers

Cheaper to trade for a proper Sport model I would think

Head linning maybe different, other than that I think you have covered everything, the brochure does tell the difference but mines at home so cant iook at it.

I'll make sure I keep north of the Watford Gap to ensure mutual exclusivity! Thing is I'm really pleased with my Z4C including the interior trim - beige headlining really lightens the interior (I had a black interior on my Z4 roadster and it was like a coal mine with the lights off). I just think it rides a bit high and the standard seats in an SE don't grip as effectively as those in a Sport. I'm sure with some canny bidding off e-bay or salvage for the seats and some OEM sport springs I can do this for less £££'s than trading up to a Sport from a dealer and losing a packet on trade in...

Springs will be first, just looking for thoughts and recommendations on these to start with.. :driving:

Brochure shows the differences as:
18" rims, staggered tyre set up
Active sports leather/sport fibre (Oregon on 3.0)
Anthracite headlining
Armrest
Brushed alloy interior
M sports seats
M sports suspension
Three spoke M leather steering wheel

I don't think the brochure gives the full story as other items are different such as the front and rear anti roll bar are sport suspension specific.

EDIT - Mike beat me to post the brochure while I was browsing parts listings

imo go for some eibach springs instead.. and with some savvy eBay/ breaker searching you may be able to find some M seats + wheel.

Just looking at the model standard equipment, especially between the 2.5si and 3.0si SE trim, there is quite a difference between the two. On the E89 the difference between the 2.3 and the 3.0 seems not so great compared to E85 however the price is some £4k jump between model, it would seem that BMW have tightened their belts (well increased their margin) between generations and its even tighter with the sport upgrade :(
