I would like to buy a Z4, "cash waiting" although would transact via bank transfer. I have been in discussion with a couple of forum member sellers over the weekend. I'm actually quite flexible on the exact model as long as a few boxes are checked if you're selling or about to sell and your car fits the bill, or you've spotted something advertised elsewhere, please post a link or comment below. NB I must purchase by first week of June:
MUST-HAVES:
3.0Si, M 3.2 or N54. Maybe an Alpina but they all tend to have cubby holes (see next point)
HiFi, ideally the 'top' option: Professional/DSP/Logic7/Carver/Harman. OR, aftermarket upgrade such as Bavsound retaining OEM HU.
Full Service History with no gaps. It doesn't have to be full BMW, but I dont want a car that's got a patchy history
Heated Seats
Adaptive Suspension (if E89)
Manual gearbox or DCT. No ZF6 please
DESIRABLE:
Excellent condition, good provenance, garaged/cherished etc.
Full BMW History
BMW Insured Warranty
Relocated roof motor (if E85, although if it has Insured Warranty I don't care)
Rod bearings etc done (if Z4M, ditto the point about Insured Warranty).
Bluetooth phone
Bilstein etc
7000+ miles til next service
BUDGET:
Flexible, but I'd go to about 10 for an Si, and about 16 for a 35iS or Z4M. I would prefer a cabrio over a fixed roof if Z4M, but flexible if a 3.0Si.
MILEAGE:
Not afraid of higher miles but the car needs to have preventative maintenance carried out if approaching 6 figure mileage.
LOCATION:
Ideally within a couple hours of Southampton. I'm self employed and can't afford to take time off work to travel miles and miles to look at cars. Happy to pay for delivery.
