Z4 & Z4M Wheels: Interchangable?

Mine is a 2003 that I've had since new and am looking to freshen up the look with a new set of wheels. I'm only considering OEM wheels and like the 108 and 224. The 224s were made as Z4M shoes, though, and they don't list as fitting on a non-M 2003. Does anyone know why? I'm assuming this means the offset is different, but not sure. Also, if I go with the 108s, can I get 18x8 all around or do I have to get 18x8.5 in the rear?

Many thanks. Mine is stock with only 35k miles, so no experience making changes to her. Any sources for OEM wheels in the states would be appreciated.

They fit. Only reason you wouldn't have these as an option on the non-M's is that it could be made to look like one from the side. Exclusivity and all that.

No problem with the wheels but you will have to change the tyres to a lower profile or they rub. If you go down 5% on the side wall you will have no problems.

oh indeed they are interchangeable http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=41438&p=584274#p584252 the rears sit out but enhance the squat look of the zed imo .
landing a decent set will be your problem . i got lucky with a forum member , ,
maybe try a "wanted" on here ?

isn't the M rear axle a different length ( shorter) hence giving almost out of the arch experience on non M's ?

Thanks, but condition is a little rough and I'm on the other side of the Atlantic, so shipping might be prohibitive. I get my keeper gloves from the UK, but four wheels weigh a tad more.

I appreciate the responses. There are some reconditioned 224slisted at an online place in the states, but the store's reviews are poor for customer service. Auto Parts Fair.

New question: how much nicer are hypersilver vs. regular painted silver on refurb wheels? The hypersilver are more than TWICE the cost of the regular painted silver. My current 104s look like they're just regular painted silver and the website doesn't have great pics of the difference.
