Z4 Windscreen wipers not working

Hi everyone, I've recently bought a 2005 Z4 2 litre. Love the car, but I've now got a problem, the windscreen wipers have stopped working, except when I activate the wash/wipe which makes the wipers activate for around 10 seconds (so I know the motor is ok) I've checked the relevant 30amp fuse and thats ok. They were perfect until a couple of days ago, anyone got any suggestions?
 
Did the wipers sometimes after come back start again like 1-2 cm and then stops again?

Maybe this is your problem. I did it for my zed and now everything is ok.

Could be a problem with the stalk switches or associated wiring. Can be verified by checking for continuity through certain wires in various stalk positions. Consult with the WDS to determine which wires at which position to check.
 
The other possibility is the relay, can anyone confirm that its behind the fuse box in the glove compartment? and is it easy to get to and identify?
