Hi,

Anyone know what type of nut remover I need...? clean answers only !!

Basically I will be removing my wheels to repaint the hubs and calipers, but will have no wrench to get my wheel nuts off. I guess I will have a security nut adapter in the boot, but no actuall lever to twist them off with.

Anyone know?
Cheers

Yes security adaptor should be in the boot (in a small roll up tool kit next to the battery?).

You can buy a universal wrench bar to attach the adaptor to for any Halfrauds.

As Mafoo says....if the adaptor isn't there then you or a garage will need to remove them forcefully....most types can be removed (but probably not reused) easily enough by someone who knows what they are doing. And a cheap socket set for the other nuts completes the picture.

Might sound obvious but you'll need a decent jack and axle stands for your own safety. To paint the hubs you'll be needing to work under the wing, etc. and all too easy to have a nasty accident

I bought a slimline trolley jack from Halfrauds, cant recall now how much I paid for it but it cant have been that expensive....... cos Im stingey. good luck.
