Z4 wanted (Scotland)

This is my 3rd attempt at trying to acquire a z4.

Im in Central Scotland so prefer something local.

2.5 or 3.0(preferable)
FSH and low mileage.

Not too fussed about options.

Budget 4-5k obviously depending on mileage and condition.

For 5k id be looking for a 3.0 with under 70k fsh

Anybody in the north got anything that matches up?

Thanks

Scott

What's your thoughts on mileage?

You might struggle to find a well cared for low mileage 3.0i for £5k. Most at that price have higher mileage

Good luck with the search

mine is 2005 and 47k but I think £5k is a little on the low side for it.

just serviced, new brakes all round, new conti tyres, spacers, MFSW and cruise retro fit.

Thanks guys.

Having looked at the selling prices over the last few months in ebay etc I feel my pricing is realistic especially for the time of year. Further to that it's actually all I've got to spend so it'll have to be enough.

Your z4 sounds good cue ball but 5k is my max.

A budget of £5K I do NOT think, you will find a low mileage 3.0 Z4, sorry.. If I am wrong, then I will eat humble pie!! :o
A high miler, with little or no goodies on, perhaps!
As for Cueballs' Z4, I would presume, that would go for a lot more than £5K, on an 05 plate, with the spec' and mileage! ....As, I have this week, sold my 3.0 SE with loads of goodies on (almost every conceivable extra on!), for a lot lot more than £5K.. Yes, it had a hard top too and has only done 61K miles, on an 04 plate also..

In life Scottie, you get what you pay for dude.. If you can stretch to £6 - 6.5K, it would potentially open up a lot more avenues, for you to explore!

Best of luck with the quest though.. Maybe in a months time, the odd person might be looking to dispose of someting close to what your looking to pay, however

Cheers..

I totally agree with you there squire. Cueballs car looks superb but no way is that a 5k car.

Welcome to the forum - you've come to the right place to buy a well cared for Z4 (in the main)

Have to say I agree with comments above on your budget, you're about £1,000 shy of the right price at that mileage I think. I only say because a couple of forum members have asked my opinion on prices lately so I have done a bit of poking around myself.

However, I wouldn't be too precious about mileage on a well maintained car if you're dying to get into one for little money. The engines are very, very reliable so a full, kosher history should give you lots of confidence and you'll get many more miles out of it.

Good luck with your search

Thanks guys.
I've had a few go's at this and every time I end up buying another car then the perfect z4 in the price bracket I'm looking for comes along.

Good thing this time is I'm in no rush. Again I've checked the prices, to be fair cue balls is a particularly low mileage example for the year. I'd be happy with a 70 k car if it's got fsh.

Im even open to a 2.2 like what sold on the forum the other week if it's a really nice example.

Obviously the 3.0 is the ideal car and I have seen them going fir the price I'm offering.

I will get one this time :-)

EDIT - CAR NO LONGER AVAILABLE

If you could stretch to £5,600 I'd be tempted to sell you mine

Sports seats, refurbed wheels, great condition, good spec, de-gingered. 8 months MOT. FSH (mostly main dealer stamps, a couple independant specialist). 82k

No pressure, I'd actually like to keep mine. But as you're asking.... :)

Adams car is some benchmark - it would be worth shaking the bottom of the piggybank for.... If you can convince him to sell it

Are you thinking of selling your lovely z4 then Adam? if so,what u thinking of getting to replace it?

That's a nice car for 5.5K.......I would try and raise the extra you need and steal adamski's

I'm assuming you've seen mine mate, the mileage is higher than you're after at 96k but it has a fsh, a few £££ spent on it recently and I'm in NE England which isn't a million miles away from you :)
