Careful what you say about stupid doors - I have an i8! Okay stupid doors….A 2 tonne roadster that can’t barrel up a B road properly. Come on. Speed is nothing without control. It’s where it’s all going wrong. Too much weight. While I don’t love the looks of the g29 (over my E89) I do admire the interior and the power train. I have the B58 in my 240 and it’s epic. Probably the best everyday motor I have come across. Enjoy the g29 for this is the last gasp. Buy one now and keep it for ever. If I didn’t have a E89 which still looks lovely I would buy one.

I'll take the Z4. Sounds like BMW are finally getting there with the G29.

So I guess it's a positive to see an electric roadster, albeit one that's a bit flawed, but I just could not live with those doors.
I mean maybe if it was just a weekend plaything but as a daily driver (as the G29 is for me) turning up at Aldi (other supermarkets are available) ...
