z4 Suspension

Just purchased new z4 with 30k miles. I have noticed that its a rigid ride. Essentially I feel every bump on the road I feel like. Is there anything I can do to soften the suspension for a smoother ride. All suggestions are appreciated.

Run flats in most cases are the route cause for the hard ride

Essentially you have a sports car; not a boulevard cruiser. BUT, non-RFT tyres help a bit (Alpina Roadster S's don't have RFT's, and are a better ride than a std Z4 as a result; but are still relatively hard). Your next route to softening is smaller wheels and therefore bigger sidewalls....but that all depends what you have on there to start with. We have 17" winters to replace our 19" summers...that change is quite noticeable on ride quality. You can also source tyres from manufacturers who produce softer riding rubber by using online reviews as an indicator.

Has anyone replaced sport suspension with SE?
What are the differences - I think sports has shorter stiffer springs, but are the dampers different too?

People are more likely to go SE to sport I should think, so parts are probably available cheap out of someone's garage if you can find them.

Correct on springs. Dampers different too. OEM sport dampers cost about an extra 30 quid for replacements. Sport suspension package also included 18" staggered wheels and sport button. That's the only other sport suspension differences I can think of.
