z4 subwoofer plates behind seats..

currently have the basic 6 speaker set up, where can I buy the backplates for behind the seats so I can install subwoofers???

you could try the forum friendly dealer - which does discount... Sopers details around somewhere ;) details here just mention the forum...

are bmwminiparts still going? They had some worrying messages on their website not long ago saying they had ceased trading...
 
You will have to let me know how you get on with the back plates for the storage compartments mate as I'd probably do the same, some 6.5" subs behind the seats with a small amp to run them.

Post up what prices and where from when you get some info.

+1 please...keen to do this mod as well. Maybe even a good "how to thread" would be a good idea...I have nill experience with installs.

Whack 2 x 6.5" subs into the equation powered by a decent amp in comparison to a system that doesn't include this setup then the answer would be yes.

Maybe someone could clarify....in the Hi-Fi system how big are the subs/speakers behind the seats, 6.5"?

Be interesting to see how large the magnet is on the rear of the OEM setup as the storage compartments seem rather shallow?
