Bing said:Weirdly, 255s on my rear 108s look nothing like that - they fill out the sides nicely and have rim protection. They are Michelin PS3s. Agree about the standard track - the wheels sit too far in and don't look right - but I think spacers help massively without changing the rubber. I have 20s on the rear right now and 15s on the front. Think I am going to swap the 15s to the back and get some 10s or 12s for the front.
If you really want better stance and wider tyres then get some ///M wheels. They sit right out on a non ///M Z, and the rears are 265 on a 9J rim IIRC. They look awsome![]()
I think you are spot on regarding the 15mm on the rear. I deliberated for ages considering 20mm then 15mm then 20 again and so on. Took loads of measurements and in the end went for 15mm which I think are just right and I can see that due to the camber 20mm may be just a tad too much.
I'm also looking for 10mm for the front but they seem to be like Hen's teeth. 12mm are everywhere but very few 10s especially in hubcentric design.
My 255 tyres don't look as bad as the pic above but like with most tyres these days they don't protrude very far beyond the rim, seems to be inherent in the design now.
