Z4 Speed Sensors

Hi All,

Could anyone tell me where the Speed sensors are located on the Z4 Roadstar? i rang Bmw and they say they are 2 of them, front and rear.

Any help appreciated

I'd have thought it would use the ABS wheel speed sensors perhaps :?

It probably does use the wheel speed sensors to determine the actual vehicle speed.

I'd assume it uses rear ones though, since if I spin my wheels up (in snow when stuck), it showed the appropriate rear wheel speed

Thought speedo would have been off the gearbox, off ABS sensor would seem flaky

There are sensors on for each wheel that are used by the ABS. The rear wheel uses one sensor for speed, Had it fail on me and speedometer didn't work.
