Z4 specs reference

Maybe some of you had not seen this site. It covers all Z4 specs with pics (colors, materials, engines, etc...) Nice reference for codes and such.

Those specs look right for the US upgraded version (Carver).


In my 03 I had the bog standard stereo. No MP3 and the sound sucked. So I ripped it out and installed an Alpine system. Those were the days were every thing was new as far as mods go.

In my 06 I bought the upgraded Carver system. I was graciously charged $700 on the sticker for it. I proceeded to change out the door sail speakers for some high powered Rockford Fosgate, added a 500w Alpine monoblock amp. I first added a 12" Alpine R series sub but soon realized that this sub was more suited to a sedan. I swapped it for an Audiovox asphalt cracker.


I'm a happy camper. :D

The difference > behind the seats

Keep in mind that the US spec'd stereo systems, whether standard or Carver (upgraded) had 10 speakers. The difference is the amp and the quality/performance specs of the speakers, especially the 2 "subs" behind the seats. The door sail speakers AFAIK didn't change at all.
