Z4 Specification

Hello All

I am looking to buy a z4 and export it back to Australia, I live in the UK and have been here for 5 years and plan to go back in June.

I was told by BMW dealers that this could be done and the car built to spec (for the australian environment)

I was told again by a BMW dealer that a z4 cannot be built in europe and exported to aussie, as the aussie cars had different radiator specifications etc as well as import restrictions on customs would be an issue.

I think this is rubbish, is that the case or are they correct

I can't see why a new car can't be built according to customer's specific requirements. All cars are built in the same factory (LHD/RHD). But is it cheap to buy in UK, not in Australia, after considering transport cost, etc?
