Z4 soon .... Questions

Hi Guys

Well I've paid the seller a deposit and hope to get the car in the next 7-10 days. 2003 SE 3.0. Before anyone jumps on me I will post pictures when I've actually got the car. However, I do have a couple of questions that someone might be able to help me with.

Firstly it's an early model with a sat nav type that I have never seen before with a screen that can only me 70mm2. It runs from a DVD drive like the later (on top of dash) versions so is it possible to get more up to date discs for it?

Secondly can anyone recommend a local Inde for servicing? I'm near Evesham Worcestershire and the only one I've found so far is Allen PMW at Pershore so if anyone has any feedback on them or other local indes they know of I would be grateful to hear.

Cheers.

Ah yes the rare business nav. I'm sure you will be able to get up to date disks from BMW.

The high line version is now £60 from the main dealer but I don't think that will work on yours.

Hi and welcome.

I have made a diary note to check for pics in 10 days' time!

Hope the time to collection passes quickly.

Enjoy :driving:

Welcome - you'll love the car :)

Can't help with the whereabouts of a good Indy around your way I'm afraid - on a separate note though we used to live up your way - a tiny hamlet called Barton - a mile or so from Bidford on the road to Stratford upon Avon - we used to shop in Evesham - nice part of the country.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I have been lurking on here for a while and already picked up some good advice. I will post the pics as soon as I have them (and figured out how to)

"Gov" I know that area very well and will PM you.

Cheers for now.

What are you using to host your pics? If you're using Flickr I can copy/paste some instructions I PM'd another member on how to post pics to this forum.
Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the 'new' Z4

Welcome to the forum.

Keep asking about a local Indy - I'm sure someone will have a recommendation - if nothing comes through make a separate post and ask on that - your request might be missed by the members that know.

The Sat Nav I can't help with - lots of put downs it seems but not too many useful comments . . . .someone may be able to help with a more straightforward (and clearer) answer. Again, if no useful responses ask separately on a post - there are some knowledgeable folk on this forum.

Sorry Paul, must remember not to include a sense of humour in future in posts

Now, now don't be upset - this is a new member and seems to me the first responses he gets aren't that useful - come across as not too friendly supportive or helpful. If I was a new member and got such responses it might put me off.

That's what I thought and hence my response - but then I am a bit of a soft sh1te and the OP might enjoy your retort who knows - whatever - we've got both extremes covered
