Z4 Seat Base Swap Help Needed.

Hi all,

I have purchased some Sports seats on Ebay. They have made a cock up on the listing and advertised them as electric, when in fact they are manual. I have seen people have swapped the bases over before. Am I therefore right in assuming that I can swap the electric bases from my standard seats with those on the sports seats giving me the heated electric sports seats that I am after?

Any advice greatly appreciated.
 
Seat base swap def can be done, I've done it before. There's a how to that I posted in beginning of Feb. Its electric to manual swap rather than other way round but actions are exactly the same. It's a faf unless you know, but if you pm me ill help whenever I can. :)

That is good to know, looks like I will have another project on my hands! When I did a search earlier I didn't see your guide, I have now had a look and it is really helpful.

Sorry to hear the mess up, rookie975 :( That's really awful to hear. I hope they're compensating you for your trouble!

Good luck with swapping the bases - hope it all works out.
 
Thanks for all your replies guys, they are very helpful.

I will be discussing the price with the seller as they are obviously not as described, however I am still glad to get my hands on a heated set after such a long search. I will update you all on how the base swap goes, but I will probably be asking for help before that happens!
