Yeah - why not - well up for a comic group shot. Just need to find a decent location !

To all parties interested.

Did a reccy of the trip with my wife on the back of my harley.
Recap for petrol stops, green welly, Glencoe, Inveraray.
My detour up glen orchy is not on with a convoy of 8 cars, single track road with limited passing places and for the technical minded shite road surface. Will stick to the main road. A good couple of view photo ops on glencoe for the "bonds".
Just looking forward to some topless motoring.

:!: EDIT :!:

Ok - so my attendance on Sunday is not certain, as I've got a busy Saturday and collecting the zed for the meet is going to be tricky (150 mile round trip to collect and drop off the zed before and after the meet is the tricky bit). Looking for a way to arrange the weekend so I can make the run, and will keep you posted

Ok - so a quick update. If I can't make it to get the zed, I'll still be along for the start of the meet, but may not do the drive.

I'm trying to arrange Friday/Saturday so that I can collect the zed, and leave it in secure parking at work until Sunday. Failing that, I'll bring the Clio to the meet, and duck out of the drive.

Bit of a nightmare, and a consequence of the zed not living in Edinburgh with me. At least this way I'll be at the start of the meet regardless of the car situation

:driving: want to ride shotgun in the M - if not ?

. other option is Im travellig down saturday to a hotel near the start - you could leave it on the hotel car park and ill give you a lift to the station then you come out with the Clio on sunday morning ?

Something I have to think about more these days - getting hold of 97

I guess the Ms will need to feed our fuel habit ... got this list ... from Pistonheads

Leaving Glasgow, between Erskine Bridge and Loch Lomond on A82 - Esso on left near Dumbarton.

North of Oban on A85 - up hill for 2 miles Esso on left

Leaving Fortwilliam on A82 towards Inverness - Esso on right, BP a bit later on the left.

Broadford (Isle of Skye) - Co-op/Gulf petrol station.

Ullapool - Gleanor (Shell) last Super unleaded petrol as you travel north on the west coast.

so we should be to get get 97 at Oban at Esso ??

I note your post but this hoon does not go into oban.
Petrol options. Glencoe, Inverary, green welly, balloch, dont know there octanes.

That is back up to 8 cars. Forecast showery. Its Argyll & the hills like to play with the weather fronts. We may be lucky and have some topless fun.

No topless fun for me unless someone brings a tin opener!

Still trying to sort myself out to make this (in the zed), SWMBO wants the Clio on Sunday so I won't be able to park up and take Rob's kind offer of shotgun in the ///M :(

Let me know if I can help on the logistics - headi g to Stirling from the North East late Saturday afternoon .
