Does any body no , who can look at my soft top? Its unlocking but wont recline. In warrington area.
 
Is the motor that lowers the top working? ......the one that is hidden away behind the passenger seat
 
Mike at the Zed Shed in Newton Le Willows is the roof man in your area. Not sure if the place is still running, he’s not a poster on here much these days.

He did mine a few years ago, quick and easy fix, including relocation of the motor. I found him to be fine, and reasonably priced.
 
That's true, but seeing as the OP is in Warrington it would make sense to go there.

OP, you should find him on Facebook if look for Zed Shed - Cheshire. FWIW he does all sorts for Z4s. For example back in 2016 he replaced my corroded rear brake pipes in copper and cut and coded a new flip-style key for me.
 
Zedshed is now charging £175. I did mine myself, took a couple of days as I had problems getting the motor to work and then the Bowden cable valve was stuck in due to corrosion. Now I know the potential problems wouldn't hesitate to do it again. If you're handy with spanners do it yourself.
