Z4 Roof Motor Replacement

It would probably work out cheaper than having it done at a garage here as well. I've just been looking and it just over the hour from where my relatives are so might split the journey [emoji106]

He sorted mine was well happy with it all..., nice and quick too. I have had garages telling me they needed it overnight, two men to do it etc....

I think bowser is referring to mine as when it was repaired the motor was stupidly loud on closing at the last stage, took it to BMW and they diagnosed it as faulty motor and replaced it all FOC, so happy days.

I'd love to get mine done but I'm over 4 hours away living in Blackpool [emoji17]

I'm in Lancs as well but when my roof goes kaput - as it surely will soon as it's getting noisy - I'll be asking Bowser to do it. I'd prefer it to be done by somebody who knows what he's doing rather hand my P&J to an unknown repairer. At one time of day I'd have tackled it myself but I don't bend very easily anymore. I can kill 4 hours darn sarf :)

Am now wondering if mine is too noisy.....will have to get along to a meet and listen to one thats a known quantity.....

Ive got a forum member coming down from Preston on Sat so he can tell you if it was worth it :)

Hi, Ross replaced my motor today. Great service and a great price! Preston to Yateley and back , 450+ miles, and roof motor fitted all in the day! Get on this offer quick!! Dell.

Takes longer for the facelift one to fail as they have more wrapping around it. Did not stop the failing altogether though.

How much notice do you need in advance ?

A week normally!

Dell - great to meet you today!

DPG - same setup on both pre & facelift models so equal chances of failing.
