Z4 resonator delete

Do I have to remap/optimize my car again after resonator delete and golf tee?

No DME adapts over a period of time..

Tried to remove that cable for the valve to be open all the time.. it holds really strong.. didnt want to pull too much so its still on.. but.. i turned on the car and the valve is open.. tried on idle.. the valve is open.. do you think valve stays open all the time?

You need to remove the pipe, use a screwdriver to lever up from the very end of the pipe. The valve closes under different rpm’s/throttle position.

So i did resonator delete and bought supersprint back box.. car sounds better.got little bit of droning … that i dont like.. and i do feel car lost a bit of power. Not sure if its just in my head.. but wouldnt want to sacrifice performance for sound. Maybe because the tune is customized for stock exhaust.. and now there is more free flow🤷‍♂️

Time for a rolling road remap

Tunes for the N20 should only get better with less back pressure...

As mr.tourette says a dyno is a very good way of seeing what's going on..ideally with a base line tune then your re-map..a good tuner should be able to do both..

The other method is using something like dragy and recording various acceleration times.

Is it an auto?

It is automatic yes.
Well i got a custom tune before changing exhaust.. he made tune for my car.. so it was most optimal.dyno before betwen and after remaping. But that was before deleting resonator and adding sport muffler..
Now I am not sure.. maybe its tuned for more backpressure. Or maybe its just in my head.

The latter

If anything, the car should feel a touch snappier without the resonator, as you’ll have a slight amount less turbo lag, due to the more direct exhaust flow. Probably not noticeable though, although was for me as I’d already tinkered with it before I had it cut off…

On dyno before it said 280hp and 420 nm and on this one from another company and after resonator delete and new muffler it says 317hp and 417nm . Ok 🤣

Would have been interesting to see the results using the original dyno as you obviously haven’t gained 37bhp by changing the exhaust!

Here you go

Hi, I meant returning to the original dyno after your exhaust changes as different dynos can give different results.

Seems massively implausible…

Any idea to help with drone? Drones the most at 1500-2000rpm.. considering adding resonator back to fix the drone. Hope its the resonator and not the muffler that is causing the drone

Hi guys, so i have z4 28i and am thinking about deleting resonator for a little louder exhaust with bubbles. Is it worth it? Any negative side effects?
Just want a little louder / stronger exhaust sound to fit my 300hp car 😀

Hey Kiashi123 did you pull the trigger on this yet? Any feedback as I’m looking to do the same?
