Z4 Purchase

Good evening all

I thought I'd introduce myself as I've been scouring the forum for a few weeks.

I'm awaiting the green light to pick up my Z4 and have been for a couple of weeks as the previous owner hasn't dropped off the v5 yet.

The car in question is a silver 2.5 manual 03 plate with 49k on the clock

It has :
18" ellipsoid alloys, electric heated leather, cruise control, remote hood up/down, cup holders, m steering wheel, parking sensors, wind deflector

My question to you all is, what mods should I look to be doing first? I'm going to change all the badges to black and white cf, aftermarket Bluetooth stereo, wrap the dash and steering wheel so it's similar to the M interior, stubby aerial, and clear side repeaters.

Any other recommendations that won't break the bank?

Welcome, I would say just enjoy your car before you look at modding at least for the first month or two :thumbsup:
 
Thanks guys. I've got a most of the parts mentioned above waiting in the garage along with a fabia splitter

I'm probably also going to plastidip the z4 badge and front grilles. I work long hours during the week so modding and driving on the weekends is my reward for that. I'll keep looking for inspiration too.

The previous owner had it on a private reg and traded it in at Evans Halshaw. The dvla have sent him the new log book saying the car is back on it's original plate and he hasn't returned it yet. It was sent out on the 15th August so I'm becoming a little annoyed about it now.

I'll definitely post up some progress pics of how the car is coming along including bodged plastidip jobs

What's the opinion of gloss black wrapped mirrors on a silver roadster?
 
My new pride and joy landed last night after four weeks of waiting. Thanks to all those for advice.

I'll post pics up this weekend. I'm so happy with it.

The list of what it had on it already includes
M steering wheel, Cruise, PDC, xenons, Electric heated seats, wind deflector, cup holders,18" ellipsoid alloys

Done so far: stubby aerial (Peugeot 308), clear side repeaters with black cf roundels, number plate surrounds.

On the way: gloss black grilles, hopefully the mm dual exhaust from stlymch (probably just going to weld the extension onto my backbox)

Bits in the garage: front and back cf roundels + matching centre caps, aftermarket stereo, cf and matte black vinyl to wrap the dash, red vinyl for the rear indicators

Only question is. I bought some green bulbs which seem to be the wrong ones for the rear indicators as they were flicking fast and not through the indicators. Anyone got a link for the correct leds? Ta
 
Make sure you save some cash for petrol!

Looking forward to the pics - anytime before 09:00 on Saturday will be fine :D
