Z4 project

Thanks for the comments, am thinking it will need a face lifted front bumper once the rondells are on front and rear

I'm based I'm Hemel Hempstead so is a bit of a journey to Protech but worth it every time IMO :)

UGHHHH, can I have your wheels please? :sweetheart: :yeah:

Lol one day maybe, thanks for the comment though :D

I hope to get some better pics in the light today, although at some point this weekend I have to swap the standard wheels back on all round, just until the fronts are available to fit on also as they are currently on the front of a friends 540 due to be replaced by 18x10 all round.

We decided the best tyre combo is to use a 235/40/18 on the rear and to stick with a 225/40/18 on the front

Last photoshop until I get them on I promise.... :) only did this as it was a photo in the light so was a bit easier to get a better finish

Havent updated this for a while, not a huge amount has happened to the car in truth. I had a thought about selling the car recently however after a lot of thought have decided i really couldnt part with it as its so much fun!

Since then Ive been enjoying the car at every given opportunity!

I do however have a few plans for the car which hopefully will start in the coming week :)

First of all is a set of 19" CSL reps in 8.5 & 9.5 from BM Autosport... The only decision now is Hyper SIlver/Anthracite/Black... :)

Depending on how the car sits then I may need the car to lower the car more to get the look im after. The FK springs seem appealing and have read they seem to be the lowest way to go. In truth Id prefer to go for a the H&R lowering springs as I know they are lower than the Eibachs currently fitted but not as low as the FK springs which seems to be the perfect height...

little update from the weekend, went down to BM Autosport and collected my new wheels :)

Went for the 19" CSL's in matt anthracite in 8.5 & 9.5 in the end :)

Im very pleased with them, due to get tyres on tomorrow so will post some pics when fitted!

Bit of an update:

Got the wheels fitted last night, I’m very pleased with them so far, the anthracite against the silver was definitely the right colour choice against the silver IMO

Sorry about the crappy pics Ill grab some better ones later!

Things to do now are to play around with my spacers. Current specs are

19x8.5 et38
19x9.5 et45

My plan is to refit my 15 & 18mm spacers meaning the new specs would be

19x8.5 et23
19x9.5 et27

If anyone has any clearance issues with these sorts of offsets then I’d love to hear? J

Next up is to re-align the car as It hasn’t been done since the Eibach springs were fitted and ideally don’t want to scrub through my new tyres! You may be able to see I seem to have a lot of rear negative camber. Is there enough adjustment from factory to get this back to factory settings?

Then once the above is all done is facelift front bumper time!

I had those same wheels/offsets. Tbh I don't think you need to add spacers, maybe perhaps 5 or 10mm to the rear. But 18mm will push them out way too far IMHO.

From what I've read et27 on a 9.5 rear is the same as the OEM CSL's. Ive seen Luke Mace i think has the same offset aswell?

Happy to stand corrected on this though :)

Its worth a go though to check the fitment front and rear as the wheels aren't as flush fitting as i would ideally like! However I do not want to compromise the way it drives so i need to try and strike a balance!

If it doesn't work out it looks like i will have some spacers for sale.....

I think Luke rolled his arches?

So had a play round with spacers tonight! Eventually decided on the 18mm spacers for the fronts and 15mm for the rear.

This means the new figures are:

19x8.5 et20 front
19x9.5 et30 rear

Overall I'm extremely pleased with the results!! The car in my eyes has perfect fitment and luckily enough does not scrub in the slightest!!

All thoughts welcome as usual :)

Thanks wick! Hope to get some better pics when it's cleaned as is filthy at the moment!

The plate on the seat always gets a fair bit of attention too! :)

Not sure how much I trust this but thought I'd better get a few tins just in case now the runflats are gone!

Anyone ever used this before? I was half tempted to buy a space saver and leave it in the boot with a scissor jack....

I'd be amazed if those fronts don't rub on the arch liner (where it meets the bumper). Mine are the same size but et 33 I believe and rubbed when I had 235 tyres on.

Rears are perfect, but for me, the fronts are too far out.

Looks amazing btw, it's exactly what I've been considering, silver on anthracite CSL's.

You're not from the SE are you? I'd love a look.

Are you on standard suspension?
