As Chris says that’s just nicely run in. If it isn’t smoking blue or white or knocking then no reason why it shouldn’t see 500,000k with regular oil changes. Nice cheap car to do as you say with it. There really is something good about an old ragger with dents and scratches already on it, you don’t care where you leave it, if it gets a scrape from old widow twanky or fat greasy hair dole bums at Tesco’s car park, it really is quite therapeutic shrugging your shoulders and not giving two chuffs what they’ve done to it. Go for it, looks a fun project. :thumbsup: :driving:
 
That looks dirt cheap for a 3.0i regardless of the mileage.

You could always enter it in the Z4 race series!

Or if you didn't all of us on here know roof motors can usually be sorted for sensible money - even if the seller doesn't. :lol:
