Hi All,

Following on from the Newbie Forum, thought i'd post up what I've done to the car since picking it up Friday.

Car is a 56 plate Z4 2.0I with 127000 on the clock, in 2017 it had a new timing chain & tensioner at a BMW indie in Lincolnshire, then was parked up in July 2018 due to several issues with the brakes, 4 bald tyres & the expired MOT.

So enlisted a friend with a transporter to get the car back on Friday night.

Got the Car home

Made a start Saturday morning, with the help off no.1 Son - T he roof, covered in bird kak, slime &God knows what.

Saturday & Today have been mostly about replacing & Bleeding the brakes.

Both Front brakes were (well All) TOTALLY SHOT - never seen brakes in such bad condition.
Front discs x2

Rear Discs & Pads

After going through the above & giving the car real good look over, Car seems to have the usual problems & I've found the following:-
4 x Tyres (both rear tyre through to the cords)
O/S/R Road Spring broken.
O/S Window Cable snapped
May have to change the NSF caliper as bleed nipple broke when trying to remove it :headbang: Schoolboy Error!!!

Above should see it through the test

You just can't beat a friend with a transporter! (Saves on the petrol too)!

It's looking pretty good already, but those brakes definitely look past it! :o

Indeed they were, well past it, took about 3 hours to get the Discs off due to the corrosion. Spent 15 years as a Ford Mechanic & MOT tester, never seen brakes so bad :o

Once I've got the above done & MOT on the car, first job will be the roof, sort out the Motor & relocate it.
