Z4 prior to covering

Hi all!

I need to park the Zed in the driveway for a couple weeks. Should I wash my car and let it dry overnight before putting a car cover over it? If there is any moisture under the cover after putting it on, will this damage the paint in any way?

Also what kind of covers would you recommend? I need an outdoor waterproof one as its really windy, wet and snowy up here.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Sorry that I cannot help here, but wanted to express my relief that this wasn't a post about breeding Zeds. :P

I assume you have a E85 if so and your going to wash it then intened to cover up for a few weeks, then yes i would let the roof dry out first.
I use a storm force cover, its 100% waterproof and has 3 straps that go underneath the car keeping it secure, also it elasticated so its nice and snug.
I remove it every week or so when its a clear day for a breather and also i put a silica bag hanging from the rear view mirror just incase moisture gets into the cabin as well.
Cheers Jonny!

Even if it were a coupe I'd advise allowing it to dry before covering it. I've used the Halfords Advanced All Seasons Car Cover before on my E24 and it was very good, let very little in.
