Well, since this "bumped" old thread is new to me...
In the first three days, I had more comments on the Z4 than my previous car over three years. In one day I had three different women and three different guys asking questions... the women complimented the car and then wanted to know about me and what I do (professionally, that is). The guys all asked what the car is and then made assumptions on how much it cost or how fast it must be.
All the women in my office think it's "dead sexy." The guys appreciate the design and mechanics.
Also, I've had a lot of people wonder what it is... Z4 Coupes are VERY rare in this town (there is a fair number of fair weather roadsters). I know of one other that I've seen only at the dealer for service. I think the coupe is distinct enough from the roadster that MOST people (i.e. not enthusiasts) don't realize they are the same car. And mine is de-badged, so they can't read a model number. They just know it's a BMW and think it must be a whole new model or a very exclusive toy (not the daily driver it is).
Yeah, I was thinking a P. Cayman might be more "manly," but there is something more exotic (and perhaps erotic) about the lines of the Z4.
Anyway, long story short... Z4 = popular with both sexes.
Z4 the people! Hurrah!
