Z4 or Boxster

I am considering spending about £10k on a nice motor, and am seriously tempted to get either a Z4 3.0 or Porsche Boxster with 2.7 or 3.2 engine.
I have had a Z4 coupe and loved it to bits. Has anyone had both cars, and if so, what did you think?

Boxster S or Z4. No on the regular Boxster. I have a 2005 Z4 3.0 and my dad has a 2004 Boxster S. I drove a lot of Boxsters as we were looking for his car and must say it is nice, but I would rather have a Z4 over a regular Boxster, the S just adds so much more and is worth it in my opinion.

Yep, still got both.

Dont know about £10k but what year cars would that get you? Both great cars and have good and bad things.

Ours is a late Dec 99 with 32k on the clock, it looks a couple of years old and drives lovely. I would only change the stereo if i had to at this point. The Z4 is 07 and reflects that in the cabin. I would only change the seats and maybe add another litre to the engine :wink:

Brand new side by side id get the Boxster, after that it all depend on age and condition.

Becareful trying to get a bargain with the boxster, like any car things can go wrong.

A £10k boxter,be very careful, they can be a massive money pit,albeit a great car. Remember a Z4 is largely 3 series running gear, so simple and relatively cheap to repair,Boxters are very expensive to repair.
