After decades of driving Volvo estate cars I have purchased a 03 Z4 3.0 roadster, while I'm still able to climb in and out of one.

I tried to do some research but the whim got the better of me. However I do appear to have bought a reasonable example on 82k miles from the Bristol area.

I'm sure I'll be looking for answers around the forums in the coming months. I've already seen a couple of hartops of interest!

Pic of the car.

Nice looking example, welcome to the world of Zed ownership.
Thanks Stuart. I must admit the past few weeks have provided a very different perspective on the road!!

Hi Snow, glad to hear you’re pleased with your purchase :)
Lots of info on here if you ever get any bother or if you want to find out about add ons/upgrades

Welcome to the forum - buying on a whim while you can still get in and out seems to ring a bell!

And you bought a 3.0i - now just enjoy!

Hello and welcome!

I too decide to go for it before it’s too late for my joints and back

Hi and welcome.

Thanks for the pic - looks good!

If your Zed's going to sleep outside then I can understand the hard top quest. Mine is lucky enough to sleep in a garage most of the time, which means I get the roof down every weekend that it's not pi$$ing down.

Either way, enjoy. :driving:

Oh, and meant to mention I have had two Volvo estates. Both 850s - a 2.0l and a 2.5l - both great cars - fast, comfortable and great load carriers.

Welcome Flake!

I only bought e89 35i on 31 Oct so I’m a relative newbie too but I have been made to feel very welcome here. There are plenty of knowledgable people who are willing to offer their knowledge & help. It’s lighthearted enough to feel welcoming while still feeling technical enough to be useful.

Well done everyone :D

I was fortunate enough to have an 850R many moons ago. A lovely drive.

Hi and welcome :)

Any plans other than the hardtop?
I'm not sure. It's in a really original state so not looking to do too much. The cup holders are gone (if they ever existed) so I may do some cup holder or net type thing on the inside. Early days though. I kinda like that it's such a clean car.

They were never standard, not even on an ///M

I only do OEM mods or reversible ones. Some bigger wheels would look good though, daisies are a bit on the small side
