My car has been standin still for one and a half years. The battery is really death but i tried jumpstarting the car but no succes. I tried taking out as much gasoline as I could and put new gas in. But when I turn over the key the engine tries starting but all the dash lights go out except for the abs light. That one flickers.

So, welcome to the forum... normal etiquette is for a couple of sexy pics but we can save that for a while :D

Like to suggest you first fully charge the battery or obtain a new one. Make sure all electrics are off, clutch down, prime the fuel pump twice (ign on let prime without cranking then off, ign on let it prime then crank)

It’s possible it may have gone into transport mode ... & that’s yet another story

Good luck

New battery for sure. You are asking a lot from a set of budget jump start cables if your battery is completely FUBAR (which it certainly will be if it’s been sat discharged for over a year). No way you can recover a battery from that, no matter how long you charge it for.

New battery is in and it started like it’s nothing. So problem is fixed.

If you regularly leave the car unused for more than 2 weeks or so then it's well worth getting a smart charger to keep it fully charged.
