Hi All,
Took delivery of a 2004 z4 3.0i about 10 days ago. Absolutely loving it, especially the sound, really sings from about 5K revs on!
Got some work planned on it, couple of trolley dents and needs the wheels doing really (outisde ok, but inside corroded - winter job using the excellent guide on this forum) but got a cracking deal on it so I can't complain. Got a lot of extras - 18" split rims, xenons, rear parking sensors, heated seats, carver sound system, 6CD changer, wind deflector - bar cruise control (would have been nice) and sat nav (not bothered) but was in the colour I wanted with the red leather interior which I also wanted.
Have to say, nowhere near as uncomfortable as I thought it would be given it's shod all round with Bridgetsone RFs and really turns in well and grips like a bugger compared to my Mondeo ST. Haven't too much of an opportuntiy for a good play yet but have had sport mode on and DTC off (I think - the first option on the button!) and find that makes a big difference to the fun levels. Great thing about this car is that you can wring it's neck if you want to, but equally just cruise around the place nice and quiet. Love it!
Great forum and some brilliant guides. Here are some pictures!
