Z4 no7 here , , , ive got the fever bad !

Only pulling your leg mate, my sis had an Auto Zed (SMG) and thats was quick so an Si would be lightening.
 
Lovely z (for a tin top :poke: :fuelfire: ) seriously though, very nice Andy- will be interesting to see how you get on with the coupe second time round

As i'm not looking for a perfect or forever Z i take what colours / spec / box is with the car as long as it stirs my interest
You should know well enough Dan the Si coupled with the auto box in sport mode is frighteningly quick off the mark & i still think it would polish off 99% of forum ///M owners to 60mph :wink: obviously it would give something in the twisties but those who haven't tried the auto shouldn't sneer , they are pretty wick & far from the old clunky autos some perceive

The auto rocks - must be great being back in one. I do occasionally miss mine, still.

The current ZF8 auto makes it feel pretty old though I reckon, I have the ancient ZF6 auto in my 330i and I don't think the engine has quite enough torque to really suit the auto(the Zed is lighter and has a little more torque though in fairness).

It does give the car a nice relaxing feel to it though, which at 43 I can appreciate! :D
 
Was a bit worried Mr Wilks!

There you were just weeks ago saying what a great combination the 3 litre N52 engine was in a Z4, then I read you had sold it!

But you still have that combination!

Good spec. is a bonus too!

Great looking car with very nice spec.
I've got an auto (due to breaking ankle 7 months ago) and can vouch for smoothness , cruising ability, and fast changes in sport mode.
 
Lovely looking car that....just think, when that was new with all those options someone must have paid nearly 40 large for that!

Very nice Andy, looks like a lovely well speced example you have got yourself. Obviously got taste and chose the best colour in my opinion :wink:
