That is unless you are starting to feel your age and need an automatic, then there is always the 35is
That'd be a mistake, because it isn't an automatic. :)

A 35is can be driven with an automatic car licence - case closed, you are WRONG yet again.

Automatic ... DCT
DCT ... automatic
Mmm ... nah, not the same thing.

Mind you, if you want to think they are ... :)

You've totally missed my factual post, you can drive a dct on an automatic licence- Or do you know better than the dvla?

I understand it to be an automated manual, but as others have said-no clutch pedal=automatic in the eyes of the law

So to get back on topic, Andy I know you said the high points were the 35i and your red Z4M. But I'm curious, do you actually regret selling any of them or is it always onwards and upwards. Why the red M over the silver grey one you had? Is that just a colour thing or something else?

Actually, you've made a very good point. An automatic box is easier to drive than a manual, which is why there's a separate licence for it. A DCT, however, is more complex to use properly than either, so perhaps there should be a license for it, too. :)

Wait, what?
Do you have different licenses in the UK depending on if you have a manual/automatic clutch?

Yes. You can do our driving test in an auto and then have an auto only license. It's ideal for people with disabilities etc

Most European countries that I am aware off have Automatic driving licenses and "all". Some people just can't get on with a clutch so did their test in an automatic, but then are restricted forever more to only be able to drive auto boxes (so anything with two peddles only).

Let it go Busterboo, I've got one, I don't have to change gear, why because it changes gear itself i.e. AUTOMATICALLY end of story.
