I'm gonna debagde the rear as well.
How did you do it?

Heat? Fishingline? What did you use to remove the leftover glue?

TIA :)

Hairdryer to warm the glue until the badges can be prised off with fingers , then plain & simple baby wipes to remove the residue before adding a little wax

I really like these tweaks. What's the condition of your brake callipers as the ones on my 35is have gone to look ropey. If yours aren't looking great do you have any plans to "refinish" them. Also, are you considering debadging the front wings as well.

No plans to debadge the wings at all :? no "///M" badges so quite happy & already had 3 people in 3 weeks think its a 3.5 litre  :D

Discs & pads all new & calipers also been freshened up with a clean + paint so all looking well in that department

The colour of the callipers looks very close to the M Sport ones which have been fitted on new BM's over the last year or so. Did you paint/spray them yourself and if so what did you use please.

Body-colour diffusers seem quite rare. This is one of the few ...

unr-rear-diffuser-genesis-coupe.jpg

Hh mmmm not for me that one , looks like a generic one that would fit any car , in fact i think my dad uses the same item for a snow scoop come winter  :P had to be the OE item for me mr Boo

I was thinking more of the colour reversal - diffusers are usually black - than the design, which, you're right, would look like a snow plough on the back of a Z. :)

So i left the car with my indy earlier in the week & collected it yesterday . 49k covered so had gearbox oil changed along with oil + filter ( more for my own self as it was only done a few thousand miles ago ) plus changed from the factory Msport to H&R lowering springs . Running short of tasks now

Mr Wilks, I love how you can take these Z4's and with a few well-thought out mods transform them into fantastic looking and performing cars. I would be proud to own any of your 'cast offs' when you move on to new projects (but I think someone already has first dibs on this one when you decide to flip again  ).
Well done sir, well done

Update / 4 months into this Z & absolutely loving it :) enjoyed a great 10 days in France with it late October early November :driving: such a great all rounder its hard not to be won over by it :driving: whilst there spent 3 days out on the roads with 6 ZMRs & a Alpina & it was more than capable of performing at ///M level
1800 miles covered since bought , zero issues other than replacing original battery for the same Varta AGM .
Have had a couple of wheel changes along the way  currently running a set of 405M style 19s & a set of Quantum S2's .

...4 months into this Z...
Number 11 incoming Andy? 2.0 turbo next :driving:

Well i would never rule out any Z  i don't get involved with having to have the biggest spec or highest bhp , buy what suits at a price that suits & more importantly to me , a well kept & previously cherished example

car does look good Andy
But I wish you would stop posting about wheels !!
its going to end with me having to open the wallet and shell out for some

Mr Wilks - so you are using an indy, not a BMW dealer for servicing, is that right? If so you dont think its longer important to have FBMWSH, if so why is that? The reason I ask is the my 2009 31K miler 35i needs a service this week and I have been thinking about moving away from BMW to do that, mostly on a cost basis. I can afford to take it to BMW but I feel they are slightly ripping me off, ie they quoted me an extra £100 for a set of plugs but couldn't tell me for definite whether the car needs them!!!

Simple answer is i trust my indy way more than i trust any franchised BMW agent  i know the work gets done once & gets done right . He is ex master tech BM trained & can't fault his approach , expertise or his rates . I know several other forum members have now started using him too so i'm not just blowing smoke up the guys arse .
Your 2009 31k car ? Should already have had plugs imo but perhaps it hasn't yet had its Ins2 due to lowish miles for year ?
