Nice one Mr. Wilks
Looking forward to your review, as you certainly have a comprehensive depth of knowledge based on the sheer quantity of Z4s you've owned/driven.
I'm always concerned by the words 'twin turbo' in any engine that's creeping up in years and mileage, but hopefully yours is in good shape, judging by the service history you've mentioned.

Thanks , ive owned turbo cars before well over 100k no issues , stick to basic principal,s & all should be good , always decent oil ( for me it has to be Millers ) change very regularly ( for me every 12 months or 6-7k max) always allow to warm up & just as vital with turbo's after a long heated period give a couple of mins tickover before turning off .
Its very hard to disguise a turbo set up thats in need of attention so my thinking is no different to a Si or S54 , if you buy a decent one & treat it well there's no viable reason to think it will fail on you

Stunning vehicle. I am just drooling. No it's not my age. Which wheels are going on it?

Good choice Andy, this is the spec I'd be looking for if I wanted to upgrade my 20i-be interested in how you get on with it once accustomed :driving:

No.10 and counting,Andy.
Will you get to a dozen before next summer, lol?

Looks good,and a nice combo,red interiors work well with silver/white/black e89s

These cars are good, come to life in Sport/Sport plus :D
You do feel the weight compared to the M,but the twin turbo poke is nice :)

As others have said, look forward to seeing what wheels you go for on it

Great looking motor  how do the the gear boxes compare?
Well short answer is they don't :? Everything in the ZM , steering , clutch , gearbox , brakes gives a reward but it doesn't come without significant effort  i'm sure this interaction is what makes them what they are .
The 35i whilst early days is noticeably easier on the driver with a very light clutch & gearbox ( even lighter than the 3.0Si roady i recently had )
No doubts its a great car & not disappointed at all , , its just different

Mr Wilks......
If you bet bored one day, as the resident z4 expert......

Any chance writing an article covering the pros/cons of each z4 you have owned and your reasons for moving it on? I think it would make an interesting post!

Strangely i was contacted last week through Instagram off a guy who does car related videos , he was after a meet for me to share my thoughts + insights to the Z4s available , just not sure my Lancashire accent will come over too well :D

The current 326s came in the grey , i'm not a fan so they will be redone smoked chrome & used through winter .
Ive bought a set of Veemann FS25 staggered 19s that will be on it as soon as i get chance :) the finish on them is exceptional + pretty lightweight for 19inch alloys , 11kg / 24lbs fronts - 11.5kg/25lbs rears

Cheers Craig , indeed they are no slouch & sound terrific too . Colour combo played a big part in my search as i was trying to avoid black & not sure white was for me so this fit my search to perfection

Sharp looking wheels :) , are the front faces anodised or diamond cut/lacquered?
Rob

Dunno mate . Its a polished face silver inner but unsure exactly how that's & no real details on the website either

I see they have a lifetime structural warranty, if only bmw would stand by their products in the same way

I am interested how you plan to improve the suspension, as your move from a driver-focused car to an GT car.

As I can honestly say my move to MSport suspension to Coilovers totally transformed the car, and able to out handle cars with Adaptive-suspension.
